He tortures, he murders – and knows no bounds
The BKA team led by profiler Kiran Mendelsohn investigates a brutal murder in small-town Xanten, Westphalia. It soon transpires that the perpetrator has already struck in the USA. Faced with the horror scenario of an emigrated serial killer, Kiran and his team enter into a relentless race against time.

anten is an idyllic small town in Westphalia. When an American exchange student is found dead, the peaceful live relents to fear. In coordination with the US authorities, team leaders Kiran Mendelsohn and Bolko Blohm and their team are assigned to the case. From then on, Kiran has to report not only to his boss but also to the FBI.
Although the choice of victim appears to be random, Kiran believes he is dealing with an organised and highly disturbed perpetrator: before her death, the girl had been brutally abused for hours. His suspicions are confirmed when a search of the FBI databases by his American colleagues reveals links to two identical murders in Virginia and North Carolina within the last six months.
Faced with the horror scenario of a serial killer emigrating to Germany and the long-overdue reunion with Quantico, Kiran travels to the United States. Together with his old friend and FBI colleague he reopens the cases, while Bolko and the team investigate in Germany. Things get hectic when another murder takes place on German soil and the killer makes contact via internet chat. Kiran discovers striking discrepancies with the typology of classic serial killers. And he fears this contact can only mean one thing: the murder series is far from over. It is heading for a nasty finale.
